Ferris Wheel 03:26
Ferris Wheel Missy Gordon I dreamt of a ferris wheel Location, Los Angeles Tattoo, to remember it I knew it was significant Three years went by And tears filled my eyes As I observed the scene I made it, I made it, I made it And I made it as me I dreamt of a ferris wheel Cashed out my investments Heart beating out of my chest Knew I was in the thick of it Ferris wheel, a mile high And ten miles wide I was so small But I wasn’t scared at all somehow I saw the future And then I saw the past Everything made sense But retrospect came last A dream within a dream Just as important as it seemed A dream within a dream Don’t let me mess this up Three years and counting I dreamt of a ferris wheel Location, Los Angeles Tattoo, to remember it I knew it was significant Three years went by And tears filled my eyes As I observed the scene I made it, I made it, I made it And I made it as me

Amusement Park Missy Gordon I went to an amusement park in my dream Everyone was there, it was a sea of people But I was alone, I was alone How did I get here? Why did I waste so many years Pining after all my fears Like a bride walking down the aisle I went to an amusement park Everyone was there, it was a sea of people But I wasn’t alone anymore We watched the sun go down You took my hand You said, “they wouldn’t understand” You said, “they wouldn’t understand” I went to an amusement park Everyone was there, it was a sea of people But I wasn’t alone We got on the Ferris wheel Didn’t know that I could feel This way Didn’t know that I could feel Okay After so long I went to an amusement park in my dream Everyone was there, it was a sea of people But I wasn’t alone, I wasn’t alone

What If 04:06
What If Missy Gordon Sitting on the balcony at night Drawing lines between the stars Mapping out the road ahead Questioning the plan What if I missed something When I was looking somewhere else What if I misinterpreted What you said to me Sometimes I get overzealous Sometimes I get tired I know you won’t ever hold it ‘Cause you know I tried “When you move Ahead with Me Everything has already Been thought through Your mistakes accounted for too” What if I missed something When I was looking somewhere else What if I misinterpreted What was on my shelf What if I mess it up What if I’m scared Will it still come to pass If there’s chaos in my head? Heart to head Head to heart Why does 18 inches feel So far apart? What if I missed something When I was looking somewhere else What if I misinterpreted The dreams I dreamt What if I lose it all? What if I fail? What if I should have stayed put But instead set sail? Then I remembered What you said to me On the balcony “When you move Ahead with Me Everything has already Been thought through Your mistakes accounted for too”

Through Your Eyes Missy Gordon Cotton candy sky I saw with my own eyes It took me by surprise It kind of changed my life ‘Cause when I was down And nothing made sense I looked up at the sky And suddenly! Everything came into place And I saw my life through Your eyes I saw my life through Your eyes Starry midnight sky I’ve known it all my life I understood Your love Through the galaxies above ‘Cause when I was scared And nothing made sense I looked up at the sky And suddenly! Everything came into place And I saw my life through Your eyes I saw my life through Your eyes

about

Ferris Wheel is an album about following your dreams (literally and metaphorically). I dreamt a series of amusement park-related dreams (literal), and each one was about following my dream in life (metaphorical).

I was inspired by the amusement park imagery of the dreams - a ferris wheel, an amusement park by the water, a pink sunset and a starry night sky. The dreams showed me to make this album, and making this album is part of my dream in life. May this album Ferris Wheel, inspire you to follow your own dreams (literally and metaphorically).
